Colorful Kiss

That's what it looks like, but it isn't, you know.  Lorakeets are HORRIBLE gossips!  The one on the left is commenting about another one's colors.  "You know, I hear she has those colors enhanced...chemically!!!  Did you EVER?!?"

Grilling up a storm!

Family gatherings--Joy, joy, joy!  Sometimes not!  Cranky ones, loud ones, yappin' pets, crabby kids--but, in the end, it is all joy.  This too shall pass and David and I begin our journey of empty nester-dom!  The beginning of this transition is this Saturday as our first leaves our nest, to thrive in a NEW nest--a St. Joe's hawks nest!

Dinner With Pistol Packing Rick Perry

As the two blue collar workers and recently laid off teacher sat at the Governor's table, they feigned interest as the pompous politician stood and proclaimed with a sly grin, ""Don't attack my dog or you might get shot ... if you're a coyote!"

The Tao on Poetry

Anything is subject for a poem :

A catalog of boxing equipment, a collage of other poems,

Serpentine trail of incense, raised deer fur, old shoes pointed pigeon-toed,

Glass and steel cityscape, almond eyes of a saint, weeping tiny flowers,

Sunlight on whitewashed walls, blue shadows of stooped women,

A spring mousetrap, a trickle of blood in the…
