Thank You For Your Support

We all have ways in which we express who we are

Some design buildings, others dance, and there some who bake

Many are the ways in which we can showcase our thoughts & feelings

For me, it is through the art of song & poetry

I talk a lot, anyone who knows me knows this to be true

But there are times when I can’t seem to find the words to speak aloud

When I go over it a thousand times in my mind & words fail me

This is when I let the words instead flow from my fingers instead of my mouth

There is something about writing, or in this case typing the words within my mind

And while the words that form don’t always rhyme as typical poetry might

They always somehow aptly tell all who will read it exactly what I am trying to convey

It’s been an outlet for me for so many years, a way to truly express myself

I don’t know if my words will ever grace libraries and bookstores

But I do know that they have reached thousands of eyes

And touched at least as many hearts over the years

So even if I never make a dime for my talent, I still feel richer than I can say

I share what I have to say, how I feel, and what I think so that you might better know me

And also because I hope to inspire, instill courage, and to encourage people to follow their dreams

No matter what you aspire to do, no matter who you are, I hope that you know you’re important

Though there are many who read my words that I will never in person meet, still you do matter

One of my purposes in life is to love others & to show that love in all the ways that I can

His words have taught me to reach out to the world around me

But even before I came to know & love my wondrous God above

Love for mankind always had its place within my heart

Through acts of kindness, friendship, song, and poetry is how I tell my story

And it’s how I show you all how much I care for each and every one of you

May each of you that reads this know that I am blessed by your presence

Your support for what I do means more to me than I can ever truly say

But let me do the best that I can to show you how I feel with my words

Though no amount of cliches, witty phrases, or sentiments will ever really suffice

There is one thing I’d like to say though & may it touch your hearts as your support touches mine
