New Lyric- Guilty Parties

No earth shattering revelations here. Just fell out.

'Guilty Parties'

I am surrounded by guilty parties

And sometimes the guilty party all night long

It's hard to sleep when these guilty parties

All break out in song

I am surrounded by conflicts of conscience

Or maybe just good intentions gone astray

I am surrounded by guilty parties

Guilty parties either way

(chorus)

When I was a baby the world was… Continue

Filed of Dreams a poem

I woke up with this in my head. Sheesh! Stay away from the brown acid ! =)

Field of Dreams is for the thinker
First Costner movie that was not a stinker.
You can never really change the past
Life is fleeting , it goes by fast

Go for it! No matter what the dream ..
Even if it involves a team.

Reconcile with all you know
You never know when they're going to go.

The End ^_*

Old Dogs

'Old Dogs'

I've got an old dog in my backyard. Nothing new about that scenario but this is an old dog that's new to me. He's lost and is looking for his home. He's a shepard mix of some sort and old enough to have met Columbus when his ship first arrived- at east that's what I'm guessing. He's blind, partly crippled and deaf with a tumor on his right hind leg. But he's a good old dog.

He was wandering in heavy traffic out on W. Main Friday afternoon, looking helpless when a lady… Continue

Field of Dreams observation

Field of Dreams.......I saw the movie many years ago. My interpretation of the movie Field of Dreams is that our dreams...are often times are far more important to us and to others than we realize. (I emphasize others in this case). Sometimes we have to let the dream have a life of its own in the real world and let it play out. Many times it's not the reality of the dream coming true but the process that unfolds that is the most important reality. I separate dreams occasionally from idle… Continue

"Derek's Box"

"Derek’s Box"

“Please wake up,” he whispered for the one-thousandth time.

He reached over to her limp hand and laced his fingers in hers. As he silently wept for his one and only love, he felt her pulse pump strongly through her fingers. It was then he knew that she would live.

She lay in that same bed, with that same guy by her side, for the next eight weeks. One day, a Saturday, as the young man rested his head on the edge of her bed, she stirred. Her voice, having not… Continue

"Kindred Stranger"

"Kindred Stranger"

The fire fades to embers as I listen

to the sounds of the forest night.

Crickets create a loud chorus

as owls and the breeze add their

own harmonies.

An injured animal waits for

a pause in the night's song

to let up it's pained complaint,

and as I listen, a chill crawls

up my spine.

If I were to make a sound

to express my feelings right at

this moment, that is what I would

sound like;… Continue

Phila. Folk Fest

I was greatly cheered by the array of young talent at the Festival this year - a truly talented and vibrant group of young performers including: The Decemberists, the Low Anthem, Chris Kasper, Dante Bucci and Angella Irwin. The wonderful writer Jack Hardy was there as well, as was Ellis Paul - as fine an artist as may be found! All in all a splendid weekend, despite the mud!

So, you want to know about Wiffledust, do you? Well, let me tell you what I know....

Lisa approached me in the spring of 2007 with news that she was working on a very cool project; and wanted to know if I'd like to get involved. She has very innovative ideas about "web radio"--what it can be when creative minds get a hold of an interactive website. So, of course I said yes! This is a concept so different and completely amazing! I can't wait for the whole world to see this. Any day now, she's going to share this with everyone, and let me tell you people, it's gonna be… Continue

Lisa's awesome project!

Thanks to Lisa for creating a place for us to gather together and share all kinds of information! I'm glad to have something more on the intimate scale instead of dealing with Facebook and Myspace all the time. Look forward to chatting with everyone :)
