I haven't been on this website for a while now. I haven't been able to be very creative I feel like all that creativity has been taken out of me. So I'm going to create something for me and only me. 

A thin film covered my eyes

Through it, I saw what the puppet master wanted me to see

I let him hold the strings

I danced, cried, laughed, and lived as he wanted me to

He held the power

Because I gave it to him

Freely, without reservation

“Hey, Sal, wait up!” a familiar voice called from behind me.

Ugh. Maybe if I pretend to be deaf, he’ll go away. Though somehow, I doubt I’d get that lucky.

“Sally! I know you can hear me. Would you wait up?” that familiar voice sounded again, a little out of breath and quite a bit closer now.

I stopped, turned, and faced the king of the chess club. When will he ever get it through his head that I am not interested in being his video project subject? Aren’t there other kids…

     For my third gourd gifting adventure I did not have to look far for a particular gourd that was to embody my creativity. Nope, I did not need to look far because when I cut the top off the gourd I used for my second gourd gifting I set that gourd's neck next to my violets waiting to be planted. I see the changes

Old versions of me shed themselves

Without even noticing at the time

A year from now, there will be more changes

As yet more of my old skin flakes off

I was attempting to take a nap and my mind began to wander, as it often does. I started thinking about letters of the alphabet and things about me and in my life as it is to represent each one. I decided to run with it and make a blog out of it. :)

This Thursday is Valentine’s Day. Instead of going out to a fancy restaurant, we chose to eat bacon cheeseburgers that we had once before at a local pub within walking distance. We might get in our two free weekly practice games at the lanes we bowl league at or we'll just watch some Archer on DVD.
