In Remembrance...

Ten years and the pain is still strong.
A lifetime will not erase the memories of those who are gone.
The images will forever be etched in our minds.
Amazing what hate can do to mankind.
Left to dwell we could all give in.
Focus on the anger but sin is sin.
Let us forgive but never forget.
Revenge is not sweet but fills with regret.
On this day as we remember all the lives that were touched.
May we remember what our Founding Fathers said..." In God we trust".

Thanks Lisa.  Thanks for having this for us to share our feelings.  My youngest is coming home November 20th and will be stationed at Fort Campbell in Tennessee and for this I am soooo thankful.  My middle son has already been notified he is being deployed again.. now his third time, to Afghanistan in March.  Now ten years later and we are still sacrificing lives directly attributed to this.  It needs to end so we can heal.  That is what inspired me, in addition to the anniversary itself, to write this.  Thanks again for all you do. <3 XO
