The fan
I think I may have told this story here, but since I'm doing a series on paranormal experiences, I am sharing it again. This was one of the more memorable experiences in my life so far.
One night I was in bed watching TV, my wife and kids were asleep. All of a sudden I heard the vent fan turn on in the bathroom. I assumed one of the kids had gotten up to use the bathroom and flipped the wrong switch. I waited a minute or two to see if they would turn it off or ask for help. After not hearing anything else, I thought I'd better get up and go check it out. I could see that the light wasn't on, but I hadn't heard any other sounds so I didn't know what was going on. Their bedroom was down the hall and had a bathroom across the hall. We had a bathroom in our bedroom, just inside the bedroom door. I got out of bed and started to walk down the hall, and as I passed our bathroom I realized it wasn't their fan that was on. It was the vent fan in our bathroom. They wouldn't have come in to use our bathroom and even if they had, they couldn't have done it without being seen. The switch wasn't one that was easy to flip, and it wouldn't stop halfway between on and off. So it's not like it was accidentally flipped partially and then just went the rest of the way by itself. It was either on or off, and when I walked by it was definitely on. I don't know who turned it on, but it wasn't anyone who was living in the house at the time.
It was the only memorable paranormal experience I had there. I think that I attract spirits or they follow me from place to place. Or it could even be a combination of the two.

it seems to me that if spirits communicate, that they certainly do frequently use electrical things. i'm not sure why or how or any of that, but it seems to be the most commonly reported method of communication. perhaps it's something they can access???
