where creative minds can interact
This picture is for my BFF in Alaska, Nancy. She loveeeees horses. I kind of risked life and limb to get these shots tonight. This farm is in the middle of Plano. The pasture is a bit elevated, and has two sides accessible, is elevated a bit, ground surrounding pasture is at a 45 degree angle AND inches off six lanes of traffic.
Hanging on to a camera, standing still on the apex, taking a decent shot, and not fall into the south bound lanes of traffic was all a bit eventful for me. As graceful as I am (not), the falling into traffic was the only part that made me REALLY nervous! And, my husband was watching from six lanes away.
Three of the dozen or so horses came up to me. I could not get one of those shots at all. I had no way to pet the horse, take a picture, stand on the side of the pasture and not lose footing! I have passed these horses a zillion times. And tonight after going to take pictures of a fireplace (whole other story), I asked hubby to go by the horses to see if they were "out". This literally made me squeal. Much better pictures to come. This is just a preview, not a great one even, but I was too excited not to get something posted for Nancy.
I can't wait to go again! Now that "the" first time is over, it wasn't so bad. I really don't care who stares at me, I do care about falling into traffic!
