where creative minds can interact

These days, it seems that almost everybody has a friend or family member in the Armed Services, stationed "over there". With the holiday season fast approaching, we can do great good by helping our brave loved ones to be able to get in touch with their folks at home by donating to this very worthy and practical program that the USO runs each year. If you are interested in making a difference for someone who has to spend their holiday season so very very far from home, please go to:

www.uso.org

Prepaid, international phone cards are given free to service members, especially those in Afghanistan, Iraq and other overseas locations. You can help deployed service members be able to call home by donating to OPERATION PHONE HOME today. Donate online and choose the "donate to a specific program" option.

It's a way to bring us all a little closer...............

Thanks

Donna

Something tells me that if one of my kids was overseas I would indeed be desperate to hear ANYTHING from them-a call- a text-an e-mail- ANYTHING AT ALL.. If we can help make that happen by donating to this Operation Phone Home Project, then I feel like we have done something really special. Around the holidays it's particularly important because these soldiers must feel the tug of homesickness ever so much more.

Amen to your prayers, Janet. And with such a simple action we can give the gift of connection to the soldiers and their families. I pray for an end to this war very very soon.

This is the greatest gift one can give to families and soldiers. I know, I was one of them at one time. Well, not the soldier side, but the mom at home who's heart was aching for a word or picture, news of where her child was and the safety of him and his troop.

My heartfelt prayers go out for ALL THOSE who are separated, desperate to hear from their love ones and those who are battling the scars of this war.
