Colorful Kiss

That's what it looks like, but it isn't, you know.  Lorakeets are HORRIBLE gossips!  The one on the left is commenting about another one's colors.  "You know, I hear she has those colors enhanced...chemically!!!  Did you EVER?!?"

Weird wedding? Not TOO weird.

Probably not quite as weird as some (like the one we went to where the bride's large portrait was featured in front of the appetizer table), but there was one...the bride forgot her slip, but the minister wouldn't let her run home to get it.  Might not have mattered with a "normal" wedding gown, but this was gauze...  He was probably just concerned that the wedding might "run over" - not good since he'd decided to squeeze this young…

Do orbs count?!?

Have to share this - not really entering the contest, but I thought this was a little spooky. I never knew "orbs" until my daughter explained them to me (she's very much into the paranormal). I took this photo a couple of weeks ago and have no explanation for the little "reflection" at the base of the tree, especially since the sun was shining on the other side of said tree. Remembering Mom

It was a tough day today. Mom was on my mind a lot and I'm not sure why. She usually creeps up on me at odd and random times, like when I try to call someone and automatically begin to dial her number, a number that hasn't reached her in just over two years now; or I think of something that I know she'd have appreciated and then realize she's no longer there to tell anymore.
