yes, I knew about online delivery...however, it cost a small fortune. No amoroso rolls here. Publix is the only place that comes close to the rolls we are used to, which are pretty good.

my mom was southern and made an incredible pecan pie!!! did you know you can get tastykakes and philly soft pretzels online? we used to send scrapple out to a friend in california, because he couldn't get it there. do you get amoroso rolls down there? they are a nice hoagie roll

Lisa, the main food that we miss is good Italian rolls. Chris loves Tony Lucs in Philly... good ole cheese steaks. And he really loves soft pretzels. Even our pizza is better in Philadelphia. Of course, these are not the foods we indulge in on a regular basis...so it is a treat when we come home. He also likes Tastykakes. I enjoy a really good Italian hoagie. And occasionally I like scrapple, which I have found here but it's Jone's instead of Habbersat. They freeze it cause it isn't a popular food here.

I must say I now love collards which is a southern dish I learned here. Pecans and peaches are also primo here. I can make a mean pecan pie as a result of a southern dish.

i'm so grateful for the fall i can hardly contain myself. for me summer gets very tiring...by the end i feel beat up by it. but this year was particularly brutal. this new crisp weather makes sleeping and working a completely new experience. and for that, i am grateful!

I am so grateful for the vacation home to Pa and NJ. It was wonderful to see so many friends and family. Some people, we hadn't seen for a very long time, we simply picked up where we left off. Nice to enjoy the foods of "home", we miss them here in the south. I feel extremely rich for not only the the experience, the connection, but for the generosity of everyone that opened their homes and hearts to us. I am truly blessed to be loved by so many. My memory bank is full of wealth!!

I'm grateful that I get to see my brother in two weeks... for the first time since July 7!
