Dear Lisa, funny how we books, poems, etc all mean more as we mature.....books like "Grapes of Wrath", which I detested when a teen, now may actually be appealing to me now!! have careful day, Lisa

I saw a deer behind the bush!!! Lisa, THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHORT POEM forever.....in fact, I read it aloud for speech and debate competition (high school) .....you really hit my core spirit with this ......some thing is welling my eyes.....a feeling.....was it the pure beauty of the poem, scenery, your voice, the deer , the melody, the fact you took time to share this or just EVERYTHING , all of the above PLUS the flood of good, and
not so good , memories

thanks, susie. you're really kind. this time of year brings out every weird emotion, does it not? there are hours when i love it and believe in its magic and other hours where i can't wait for it to be over. but it is always a wellspring for artists! we'll get through it richer for having done so, susie! xxoo
