where creative minds can interact

When it's really love

You find yourself willing to make sacrifices

Willing to do things you don't like to see them smile

Giving of yourself, even when it's hard to

Learning to pick your battles

Wanting your needs to be met

But also wanting to meet theirs

When it's really love

You accept them as they are

Not forever trying to change them

As they accept you

Though together striving for growth

Both individually and together

Wanting the best for one another

When it's really love

You don't expect perfection

There will be days when you drive one another nuts

When you just want to throw your hands up

You will see each other at their worst

Sickness, financial difficulties, moodiness, & habits hard to live with

But you know you'd feel lost without them

When it's really love

You will build one another up

Enourage them in all they do

Supporting the very passions that drive them

As they do for you

Because real love isn't one sided

It's a series of give and take

When it's really love

Your heart still skips a beat even after many years together

Just the sight of their face makes you smile

A simple touch of their hand sends shivers down your spine

Connected both mentally and physically

You can't put it into words just what they mean to you

Love seems too weak a word to explain it

When it's really love

No one will need to show you a sign

Or draw you a map

No need for GPS

Obstacles will be faced

Darkness will try to loom overhead

But your hearts will find their way.....

i love the line "when it's really love, you don't expect perfection", because i think it's actually the opposite of love to expect someone to be perfect. we were not designed to be perfect. wanting the other person to be perfect is all about our own ego's. this is very wise and very beautiful! thank you for sharing it with us!
