where creative minds can interact
It's midnight
I'm outside, alone
Looking at the stars
Talking to them as if they were long lost friends
Whispering secrets
Knowing they won't tell a soul
Laying on the ground
Making snow angels
Like I'm five years old again
No one can bring me down tonight
It's just me, the stars, and my dreams
The rest of the world has disappeared
Though my nose is cold
And my feet are numb
I don't have a care in the world
This is my time to be free
Free from pain, stress, and strife
Singing my own songs
And dancing to the melodies in my head
If I could paint a picture of the colors I see
I'd show you a rainbow
A brilliant kaleidoscope
Splashing vibrant colors everywhere
What a world to see
If you could see inside my mind
The animals tell their stories
And the trees even have tales to tale
Like Narnia come to life
My imagination is exciting
It's not lonely there
My friends are with me
And so are you
Endless love and friendship
I never want to leave
But now my fingers are growing numb
Even from inside my gloves
And the pain is piercing through my reverie
So, inside I start to go
Taking with me my sweet escape
Oh what a lovely place it is indeed
I walk through the house
Turning off the lights as I go
My wet clothes are laying on the floor
I envelop myself in flannel
And crawl into bed
Closing my eyes and seeing again my happy place
Good-night stars
Thank you for listening
You were great friends tonight
I'll see you again soon
Until then
