where creative minds can interact
To give an idea of our progress, I'm trying to post enough photographs of the various stages to really show the extent of our commitment to this project. As you can see from this shot, the kitchen and dining room are our main focus. We've taken out a hallway to expand the dining room and closed off 2 doorways and opened up a 6 foot arch in the wall between the former doorways. We also took out a stub wall in the kitchen and the resulting space change has transfigured these two rooms into a beautifully configured, light-filled space that will give us a living area that we'll enjoy for years to come. We couldn't have done this without all the help we've received from Kathy's family, our friends,Tina, Mary,Doug, Rachel, Elisa and my sister, Tess. I'll be posting some photos of many of these fine folks in a later blog. Meanwhile, Kathy is in the field for the next couple of weeks and my work is scaling back, so I can now spend a little more time and effort on getting more of this project done while Kathy is gone. Wish me luck 'cause I'll sure need it!
