Writing in the Nation newspaper in the early summer of 1847, John Mitchel described a journey through Connaught. He and his companions arrived at a village where they had been hospitably received two years earlier:

hey there, thanks for the friend request and for your kind comment on Mission Of Angels. Am playing with Randall today for Mountain Stage at UGA's performing arts center. I'd love to make it up that way!

Thanks for commenting, John. I'm a writer but since becoming a mom later in life my personal pursuits have gone on vacation. lol So at the moment I'm here mainly to observe and enjoy and possibly find something to contribute down the road. I love picture taking too but mostly my kids and family snapshots. Your landscape photos are beautiful. Keep posting!

Howdy John! Glad you like the old stuff! I have fun with it as I see you do too. I tend to stumble over into some pretty weird, abstract stuff, but it's all a good time. Wiffledust is a very nice place to be able to share with like-minded folks. Lisa is the best!

I was in Budapest last summer. I went there for a meeting but stretched that into an opportunity to explore. I loved it and did not see nearly enough of it. I found it charming really and I was surprised by this somehow. I went to Budapest via a train from Prague and so I had seen the magnificent and perfectly preserved Art Nouveau buildings there so that, when I arrived in the thriving city of Budapest, I was struck at first by it's relative grunginess compared to Prague. And then I fell in love. I seriously considered applying for a position that came open there recently. There was a lot of creative spirit there and every so often some throw-back to the Soviet era. A place with a rich history and a resilient people. I got the impression from some of the construction going on that they are preparing for a big wave of tourism in the near future. In fact, there was an interesting promotional video that appeared within the last 9 months or so. You can find it on Youtube. Search for Budapest. Get engaged.
