Hohenzollern Castle Germany 2012

Hohenzollern Castle is about 31 miles south of Stuttgart, Germany (my hometown). It is considered the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, which emerged in the Middle Ages and eventually became German Emperors.
The castle is located on top of Mount Berg Hohenzollern at an elevation of 2,805 feet above sea level in the Schwäbische Alb. It was originally constructed in the first part of the 11th century.
