I apologize if this photograph is unsettling to anyone.  It was just too poignant to pass up and I thought long and hard about posting it here.  I have a great affinity for hawks and wild creatures in general and this "specimen" spoke to me when I saw it on the shelf of a lab. I normally do not apologize for my art, but in this case I know that death can be disturbing.
