Yeah, they are tickly!  I used to work out west and you could hear them crawling through the underbrush.  You'd look for the sound and suddenly you'd see 2, 3, 5, or 10 of them at once.  Very cool creatures!

Used to live where tarantulas were fairly common. The guys were impressed, but the girls would run, when I'd pick one up and let it crawl on me. Tickly!
