Thanks John!  The first ones I ever saw were in Winter in central Florida and they were walking down the road I was driving on.  Snowbirds indeed!  These two were in northern Wisconsin and getting read to migrate.  The are quite unusual and quite gracefully beautiful.

They have such a beautiful form in the air. I saw my first Sandhill cranes this summer in Montana, but they were feeding on the ground. Great capture!
