Thanks, MR!  It's still a good place, if you know the right times to go!  ; )  One of the BEST times is the weekend of the Columbus Day parade.  The weather is usually really nice (now watch, I've probably jinxed it!) and it's just a lovely, old time, small town parade (well, except for the HUGE mack truck that the teamsters bring, with the HUGE speakers blaring country music (and I DO mean 'blaring' - I worry about the kiddies ears!).  Other than that, it's a great time.  Then we move up the road a piece (blocks, really - we always walk) to the Italian-American festival and end up on the boardwalk.

It's a shame it had to be cropped this way.  I would have loved to included the beach, which was right "under" it, but there were SO many overflowing trash cans.  And trash all around them.  There was no way to keep up with the hoards of people trying to escape the 100+ degree temps that weekend.  : \

 

But thanks.  I may no't care for riding them, but I sure like the way they look all lit up!!!
