Thanks, ladies!  That was a weird day.  It started out bright and sunny (but nice - the 5 or 6 days before had been in the 100s) and by the time we finally made it to the beach, the sun was gone!  Had we been in that particular spot two days before, you would have seen nothing but people's backsides!!!  I sat in my chair watching these birds dipping and soaring, so it was pretty easy to catch!

beautiful photo, elle! you caught the motion so well...and i love the sand color with the gull color...nice composition!!
