Glad you are back, Karrie! Sorry about the hitch. Let's talk music!
  • Mary Alice Guest Cafiero

I really started listening to local music because of my friend Becca Dalrymple. I really like her stuff. I know she is in studio working on her next album. Her website is beccad.com. I also love Susan Gibson (and not just because she wrote Wide Open Spaces!) Also like the Gougers (formerly Sidehill Gougers). As far as bigger names, I will always listen to Fred Eaglesmith or John Prine. If you haven't checked out Caroline Herring, she is a must listen! (she is the connection for me finding out about wiffledust!) Haven't gotten out to hear much lately with the craziness of three kids and a husband, but I'm always keeping an ear open. Please share your favorites too!

I haven't gotten to go to the Kerrville Folk Festival yet, but it is way up there on my list! My 10 year-old is my music lover, and she has decided we need to go camp out and stay for the entire festival next year! Do you go to the Fall one--- Music and Wine?

Dare I ask what the career switch entails? Do you know which part of the Hill Country will be your new home? I lived in Austin for about five years a while back and just loved everything about the HIll Country!
Good luck you your upcoming adventures!

Glad I am here also .. what a gem to discover! And all because of education, imagine that!
  • Maryanne Mesple

Oh yes it was, much like many conversations I have found myself in concerning funding for education and health care. My husband is the champ at debate though, I wish he had been in on the conversation with Mr. G. Personally, I am tired of being the nice, polite Progressive :-)

hey miss karrie! i've been trying to approve your blog all last night and this morning. for some reason yours just spins for me. others are ok. i'm wondering if there is something on it that takes more time? a very high res pic or something? although that shouldn't do it. it must be a bug of some kind. could you remove and repost? could we try that? so sorry for the inconvenience. aggravating, because i can't wait to read it! ;-)
  • wiffledust
