Do you know my friend Grant Hogarth (runs a house concert venue in SLC area and is very involved in the local contest up there)? Good man, look him up!
Thanks Carla for allowing our friendships here. I did post a song the other day which may be abit sensative for some and not others. My tears got into the lyrics and it is indeed from the heart. I love writing songs and many of them.. Again,, Thank you.. BOB
Cool! I actually got in the contest one year (I think 2002) and was all prepared to go to the Cheryl Wheeler songwriting seminar thing, but 3 days before I flew out I fell two days in a row at work and developed an incredible head ache that lasted 3 weeks! The explanation for that is that I have lived with multiple sclerosis for 22 years, so falling is pretty common! I've known Grant for years from the Rocky Mountain Song School (where I have been on the teaching staff the last 4 years teaching alternate tunings with multiple capos and 1 and 2 finger chords, and Travis picking) and Suzanne was a dear friend I still think about often... I won't forget the last time I was sitting in a late night circle with her sharing a bottle of single malt scotch and songs... the best!
I should have re-entered the contest one of these years, but this and that gets in the way... :)
