LOL! i think it's very difficult to politely discuss whether or not certain phenom exist or doesn't, because by definition the paranormal is not playing by the regular rules of the universe. however i think just as it is not scientific to pay attention to every little "feeling of a spirit" someone has or every toilet flush, it is also not scientific to ignore all the stories by so many people. yes it COULD be the imagination hoping for something. but to me that isn't a scientific explanation any more than jenny saying her toilet flushed is.

And that's what makes these discussions, any discussion, worthy of participation; honoring each others position. And I find it exciting that there are things in this world we don't understand. It would be a terribly boring place if we had all the answers.

Well, like i said.. i will concede that there are things in this world that we do not understand.. and i am very much open to possibilities. I jsut want something more than a picture of orbs! lol I will 'debate' with people on what they believe, however i will certainly NOT ridicule anyone for it..

Thank you for your comment, Loxo. And I truly mean that. I suspect the heretics who believed the world was round and NOT the center of the universe worked harder to prove their point of view. As long as there is someone who requires tangible, undisputable proof of the paranormal, there will be someone pushing the boundries of science to provide it. I hope it happens in our lifetime.

This is certainly not meant in any way to start an agument, nor is meant to discredit people's personal experiences.. however, i have to point out that electricity and electromagnetic fields have been linked to paranormal activity, there is not even any proof that 'paranormal activity' exists.. where is the scientific evidence that electromagnetic fields are linked to paranormal activity? There is none.. Paranormal investigators often talk in a language that would suggest there is some kind of proof of any of their theories or ideas, but... there really is none at all. I want to believe.. i am VERY MUCH open to the posibilities, but i need more proof than a bunch of pictures and videos (most of which are easily explainable).. believers will believe no matter what evidence you can show them to prove otherwise. and YES, if i had proof, i would turn to believe in a heartbeat. :D
