Little Girls

I wrote this next one after watching & listening to so much drama in our pods. It was pretty sad & pathetic actually, but the truth of it is; it's all very real on the outside too. It was just more concentrated on the inside with no where to get away from it.

Little Girls

Over eight-teen and grown

We know the rules

Taught how to act

Please, excuse me, & thank you

Common sense, respect, & loyalty

So why is it many retreat to their childhood behaviors?

He said, she said nonsense

Butting into people's business

Starting fights and starting rumors

A lack of respect for the rules, others, & self

Grown women acting like little girls

When will we ever learn?

We put away our dolls and My Little Ponies

Exchanged them for collections of purses and shoes

Paying bills and raising kids

Trying to teach a new generation

But how can one properly teach

When we're still ourselves little girls?
