where creative minds can interact
Seated upon the too firm sofa, are two thinkers,; both residing in one body:
" Say, did you not promise to quit your deadly habit?"
" This is true. Although, I did not say "when" , if you correctly recall.
"I want you alive to someday see your grandchild " "So set a date today"
"I cannot say when. I NEED these wonderfully relaxing cigarettes. With every random act throughout my day, they punctuate . Besides, many people, including my dad, smoked all their life long, just as many succumb to lung CA without ever a butt or whiff."
" I am stunned ,,that as a registered nurse,,,you can even hint at such rationales for not quitting TODAY".
"Often, we all do not practice what we know to be in our best interest. Take obesity, for example. It kills and I do all the right activities and diet to avoid that killer, so give me a break!"
The two-sies then hug and she promptly picks up her lighter. Until another day.

ohhhhhhhh! alrighty then! :-) cool!
Not dense, my dear.
Really, I just like Jodie's scene and followed an impulse. I'm often quite abstruse. Not sure why, but it seems to make me happy sometimes. :)
The prelude relates to knowing about what's right, with a non-sequitur pertaining to her "too firm sofa" (my blue one is so as well) and leading into the haiku about smoking despite knowing its hazards
ok, call me dense, but i don't understand your comment, bains...can you explain?
Although I help people with their problems for a living, my couch is blue, and I don't nurse. Not exactly.
Still I light up when the punctuation marks are "obviously" called for.
Lighting up the death
Little and bright red with peace
peace that leads to naught
