Brigitte London returns home to Texas with some very special friends for a Live CD/DVD recording and RADIO FREE TEXAS Live Broadcast.

Brigitte London will be recording a live record in Luckenbach on Friday, Feb. 13th. A stellar group of musicians and Special Guests are set for the bill, including Texas Legend Chris Wall, Big John Mills, Kent Finlay, Brook Faulk, Billy Dee, Doctor G, Daryl Dasher, David P. Dunn and many others in an action packed free show. The show will be broadcast live on RADIO FREE TEXAS, www.radiofreetexas.org and filmed for DVD by TOV. The recording is a coming home celebration for London from Nashville, and a declaration that she is home to stay.

She's been called a renegade, gypsy, outlaw, highwaywoman.† Her songwriting and powerhouse vocals have attracted an A -List lineup of backing musicians live and on record that have included legends. The list includes members of George Strait's Ace in the Hole Band, Dale Watson, Redd Volkaert, legendary Waylon Drummer Richie Albright, and even Bobby Keys of the Rolling Stones. She's released five albums and traveled the world with her songs. But despite urgings from Industry heavyweights, London has remained Independent, determined to stay in creative control of her music. Her music transitions from outlaw country, blues, rock and folk in one fell swoop, with a fan base extending from country traditionalists to hard core rock and rollers.

She has returned home to Texas, on the heels of her infamous Spirit of the Outlaws shows in Nashville, where she worked in partnership with Robin Keen of Desert Star Media to bring Indie and Major label artists together from across the United States once a month, to Douglas Corner, a venue known for bringing in Americana songwriters.† "Nashville needed a strong dose of Indie power," London says. "That project meant a lot to me. It was a celebration of artistic integrity against an industry dominated by visual and audio commercialism. I gave it everything I had, and made friendships that will last a lifetime."

One of those connections is with Alaskan Artist Brook Faulk. London invited Faulk to do the Nashville show, and the two became fast friends. "She's definitely a musical soulmate, " London says. "I hear her songs and wish I had written them myself." When schedules permit, the two women perform together as The Outlaw Angels. London explains, "It's not really a duo situation. We have our own way of feeling the music, trading off verses and choruses, letting the song takes us where it wants to go.† We do songs of each other's or those we've written together. We have a blast, and the audience does, too."

The Feb. 13th Luckenbach audience will get a chance to see them in action, as The Outlaw Angels will open the evening with Guest Daryl Dasher, and record a live record as well.† "It's a perfect time for us to combine the projects and Luckenbach is the right place for us to do this," London enthuses." It has the best energy of any place on the planet."

It is a mutual love affair between London and Luckenbach. Abbey, Luckenbach's Event Manager, states, "Luckenbach Texas is known for Outlaws and good ole boot scootin' fun times. Brigitte London fits the bill, and melts those cowboys right in their boots. I don't know of any other female artist that is more dedicated, passionate, and has the abilities to deliver the goods. Maybe it's that fiery red hair or that infectious smile.... We will take her any way she comes. Luckenbach loves Brigitte London."

Returning home to the Hill Country is seemingly an inevitable transition at this point in London's career. "I need to be around people who feel the way I do about music," she says. "I can fight the good fight better from here."† And that fight continues, as London moonlights as Editor of Outlaw Magazine, a revolutionary online music publication with a variety of features, articles, reviews, and Media Channel. But despite the energy dedicated to the magazine, as well as mentoring new Artists and production projects, London's focus remains on her own growth as a songwriter and performer. "I will always live for my music, " she says. "It's who I am. I still believe the world can change with a song, because I know a song can change me."

The Live at Luckenbach recording with Brigitte London, The Outlaw Angels, and Special Guests begins at 7:30 pm in the Luckenbach Dance Hall. Free Admission.

This is pure truth. The world really CAN change with a song. And I know that many songs have changed me, morphed me, into someone better, someone stronger, someone who feels connected to the world when I otherwise would have gone spinning off into a tangent of myself and my own little neuroses....... Brigitte London has a powerful voice & message...... I am so glad you've shared her with us, Ruthann!
