That's what I love about haiku. It forces you to distill the thought, feeling, scene, whatever to a concentrated form. To me, that's like the difference between bathroom air freshener and expensive perfume.

I am SO enjoying your blog posts, Jami......Each day I check your new one......it's a very hard thing to do haiku because of the strict form.......yours have been very coherent and lovely.......when I try to do haiku, I always feel like I am truncating half of my thoughts, and yet you seem to communicate your theme quite well.....
