Yeah. I don't oppose the idea of a harvest festival that gives homage to its roots. But yeah, mostly I think that we, as a culture, deceive ourselves about the true origin of this and many holy-days. What about a thanksgiving that was truly about giving thanks and perhaps making reparations? At least a consciousness of our impact and a renunciation of causing harm would make this a more palatable symbol.
