Thanks! I saw this shot on the way up the hill, but the mallard was so disturbed with me poking around his lady and their nest (never found it, by the way) that I ducked (snort) into the rows of flowers and let him be. Later on, I was once again at the bottom of the hill and he'd moved into a perfect spot for the shot I wanted. He let me get pretty close and had just started to complain when I took pity on him and turned for the car.
