This shot is filled with emotion--strength, sadness, pride.  I think it's beautiful!  Cemeteries are filled with so many stories.  Thank you for sharing this one!

As they do me.  I served for 6 years and I used to be uncomfortable with the fact that I never served during wartime, but as I've grown older I have come to realize that I was actually quite fortunate.  Nonetheless, I am always drawn to military cemeteries and  I find them peaceful, enlightening places.

it most certainly does. i think cemeteries are fascinating. so much history. so much spirit. veteran's cemeteries have a completely added dimension, though.  they always make me pause and sigh

It does kind of grab you, doesn't it?  Sometimes I spend a bit too much time photographing cemeteries, but I also like to look for the more unconventional shots.  I believe that this one qualifies.
