I love the reflection! The sandstone out west has always fascinated me. Those divots in that boulder look like they might be ground. It's hard to tell, but often Native Americans would use what was at hand for their immediate needs and if this is an historically wet area, they likely used it for thousands of years. After reconsidering though my guess is that it's a riverbed and those divots are actually "potholes".
Oops! Sorry, I didn't mean to over analyze it! I like the texture and the light very much ;-)
