Matthew, First of all, I would say, (laughingly) GET OUT OF MY HEAD! ;-) You, my friend, have stated much of my interior dialogue in regard to how I look at much of my photography. You have eloquently spoken of what I can only vaguely mumble about most of the time. Thank you! Please feel free to give me your commentary on ANY of my pieces. I always appreciate feedback on my artistry, but I especially enjoy it when it shows how my work can make people take the time to attempt to understand their impressions of it. Again, thank you!
wow, this one too. I almost don't know how to talk about this photo. I mean, at first, you find yourself wanting to say something about how these images always seem to have hidden scenes/faces/animals/just whatever, flowing together, right there, in some kind of pattern, that likes to pretend to be chaotic. but then, you shake that off and just start looking at the image/scene, looking for something to emerge. and of course it is there, directly before you, yet it does not reveal itself immediately. like it knows you would love to be a little hypnotized, which is an effect not unnatural to the magical scene you now find yourself transfixed on. wait, now I have confused myself. but have no fear, all I have to do is keep looking through the window without time. all I need do is surrender to purity. something so old by nature, that it has no need to remember itself. it has seen more daily sun cycles/more yearly seasonal cycles, than anything that stands/lays/hangs/or flows beside it. think of it! it has patiently watched all this for all that time, and what I, as the voyeur see before me, is what time and life itself is offering up as an example of what has transpired over all those mornings, afternoons, and evenings, that probably stretch back for what would seem to me, to be forever. how could it not have limitless images among it's tangled form. and the real super amazing part of it is how generous, how giving it has evolved to become. for, in the end, as I stare, I always get what I was looking for. everything!
