The light in this piece is made even better by the fact that the window panes behind the scales are very old, wavery glass. This distorts the fencing, the color, the light, and it gives a slightly surreal backdrop to the scales themselves. Thanks for the commentary and thanks for enjoying this shot!

this is great, bob. i love the antiquey look of the scaels with the romantic light on them, but i like them even more with the green and the fence behind.what a lovely composition!
