Matthew, you hit the circumstances exactly!  This was taken during a photo shoot (class photos) at an inner city school here in Milwaukee.  The juxtaposition of the chairs, umbrella (diffuser) and the room itself. I believe it does have a deeper meaning, but that still remains to be sen.  These shots just jump out at me and I usually have to interpret them later.  Thanks for helping out. Glad you like it! I hope you feel better soon, my friend!

 I cant much say I really follow this that well. to me it looks like maybe there's a basement somewhere in some old school or some old building in a city school system type thing.  here are a bunch of chairs that are not being used anymore,  and it looks like maybe the umbrella is part of the photoshoot. it  got sat down-- tossed into the pile of the legs and backs of chairs and what not. I like it though, the coloring is reminiscent of old school days' things of that nature. we did not really have modern looking chairs like that even though I saw them other places on occasion.  maybe kindergarten.  I don't know. yes, this might have some deeper meaning that I don't understand right now.  i've got a cold and not sure i'm in the mindset to a discover it right now, but i'll be happy to revisit it at some point . fun.
