Thanks, Maggie!  Some of my choices can be a little on the strange side, but this one is pretty straight-forward and speaks volumes of history to me.  I'm pleased that you like it!

As much as I liked the tractor, I liked it's shadow on the snow even better.  Farm machinery and implements are an easy mark for a camera just as long as you pay attention.  I'll try to post some other similiar shots soon.  Glad you all like this!

ohhh this is fantastic, bob! i love the rough machinery texture against hte pure snow. but i think i like the lighting most in this shot. the shadows on the snow are perfect. and the horizon is wonderful!
