Thanks Maryanne!  Yes, the red twig drew me in as well.  So glad that you like it!  Now I'm curious about Red Twig Dogwood!

that red twig looks like a Red Twig Dogwood .. we have many on our property but I could be wrong. To my eyes it is the Red Twig that makes this whole composition come together .. pulling the viewer from top to bottom and then from bottom to top over and over and over ... great photo

Thanks Lisa.  I was drawn to the brown tones and also that red twig--not sure what it is...I found myself wishing that there was just a bit more snow for contrast.
