Thanks for the comments!  Yes, these guys are hard to photograph.  We caught this one unawares as we were hiking and then both he and we were very still for a long time which gave me a chance to take a few photos.  Pretty fellow, huh?

Ain't he just great!?  I love jack rabbits, but they're usually pretty hard to photograph.  Nice capture!
