Thanks Lisa and Tom!  The juxtaposition of the red boat with white trim and the white house with red trim was too great to pass up.  Then, I got lucky with the light as well!

Thanks!  This shot was taken at the Cow Head harbor in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, Canada.  I used a standard 35mm lens with a smaller aperture (f3.3).  The light was just absolutely beautiful and I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time!

Wonderful shot!  Where is this, Maggie?  (Reminds me of Maine!)

this is just lovely, maggie! i agree that the red in front certainly makes it pop. but it's also the contrasting aqua in the back and the balance of the entire shot that makes it so beautiful!

Thank you MaryRose!  The red boat and the red trim on the house were just so striking!

The hints of red behind the red boat, the sun reflecting off the water & the dock--wonderful!!
