Thanks Wendy! Shots like this are fun to find. This little chunk of paradise is actually for sale, but with the price of lakefront in the northwoods, I didn't even ask.
Thank you Maryrose! Being able to redo shots in B&W is one of the things about digital that I absolutely love. Back in the day I used to run B&W film in a separate camera and had to really think about the whole concept of contrast,grey value,etc., but now (after banging my head on that particular wall for years) I can look at a variety of shots and know that their lighting and content will lend well to B&W, so it's easier to work the shot while I'm taking it and when I apply the B&W to it in my computer. I'm currently mining some older work with this idea in mind.
