This is a close-up of  The Red Bridge in Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin where Kathy and I reunion with friends every year.  The U.S. Forest Service restored this bridge a few years back and it is a popular (to us) local attraction.  It is also an excellent subject for photography and I take some time there every year when I go back.

i love the thickness of the rich cherry red myself. this is one of my favorite colors, and it looks like a rich candy apple coating!

I love it when folks immerse themselves in all aspects of my work!  You have captured, almost exactly, what I would like folks to take away from my art!  Thank you, Maryanne!  And yes, Maryrose, it is, as it's supposed to be,  a little "nutty" !  ;-)

What I like the most about this one is that I can sense the thickness of the paint that is coating the metal. I love imagery that speaks to my others senses, such as this one that I can feel with my eyes. Sounds strange, but that is what I look for when I am viewing art. What does the art do "to me", does it make me think of how it would feel, or smell, or even sometimes taste!
