Yes.. old theaters have a charm and character that none of the new ones can match... This one has a long history, and is not currently active as an regular movie theater...but, its truely being used as a community theater, with the local school and community using it for events, plays, movies, music, ectal...... part of my current job is to facilitate the transfer of the 'private theater' to a community owned theater, via our new public agency we just formed for the town. We hope to set up a non-profit to facilitate future management... Its a one of a kind theater... made of Old Growth Redwood, by the very company that cut and milled the trees right next door...
i love old theaters, mark. i worry that many of them will go the way of multiplexes. so i'm happy to see this one thriving!
