winter solstice the sun comes through a small window..they are booked up for years ahead by those who want to experience it..and of course they do not guarantee the sun will shine ...

It isn't very long ...at least when they take you in anytime they turn off the lights and do a bit with a light so you get the idea...

I read that the sunbeam illuminates the passage floor for only 17 minutes during the winter solstice. And I suppose as you said it could not happen at all. Fascinating place!
