This bit of strangeness is just what it seems. It's an egg yolk rolling around in a egg case box.  I spotted this outside my door in the recycle bin.  It seems that my neighbor (not a real recycle-minded guy) is entertaining a low-fat, high protein diet and boiled eggs, sans-the-yolk, are pretty prominent in the menu. Anyway, I found the composition and juxtaposition to be pretty fascinating and took a multitude of shots before I removed the organics from the bin.  Kind of weird, but kind of cool too! Glad you like it! ;-)

Okay, I'll bite - what is it?  (Kind of looks like today's lunch...but I love the contrasts, of both colors and textures.)
