Glad you like it, Lisa!  This is actually nothing more than a dirty salad plate that I saw on our kitchen counter right after dinner.  The design is called Temporama and is part of a dish pattern that Kathy and I have been collecting for years.  The brown you see is some leftover balsamic vinegar separating out from some olive oil that was left on the plate.  Kind of strange I know and you wouldn't really expect that from me now would you?   It is a pretty neat photograph and Kathy likes it a lot. ;-)
