Ha! Thank you, Maryrose! I've been told that I need to find a niche or style, but I heartily disagree with that line of thinking. I believe that by remaining diverse I can keep my work interesting and viable to a wider array of folks who will appreciate its different aspects. At least that's what I'm hoping will happen. Here's to hope!
It's a very cool, avant garde, collection! I love the weirdness!! It's fun to stare at them and "see what you can see" in them. I have enjoyed your photos so much here and on FB. The fact that your photos have such variety is amazing to me. :-)
Thank you, Maryrose! I was kind of hesitant about posting the collection here because I thought it might be a little too over the top in the weirdness department, but I guess that's just my overly self-critical self speaking. I hope to be able to offer many of these shots to a gallery somewhere, somewhen and perhaps get a little more of a foothold in the art community. I tend to be wary of too much exposure of some of my work, but all of you folks here at Wiffledust have always been so much more than kind when assessing my work. It gives me hope and a little more confidence in what I'm doing. Thank you!
Nope! This "eye" is a drip dimple in mud. The lighting was very key to the "looking back" aspect of it. This is part of my Dirt Box Series which I haven't shared very much here on Wiffledust. The 30 or so pieces that I've posted here are but a small part of the entire collection, but they are some of the best. These are quite abstract and sometimes that makes it a little harder to really "get" them. I hope you all enjoy them.
