Yes, I know and love your photo "Back to the Sea."  It captures for me the bliss of swimming in the Mediterranean.  The color and saltiness of the water...I've never felt so buoyant.

No, I didn't get into the water at all.  It was in October, but there were many people swimming and kayaking.  I've posted a few more shots of that area.  You should check out my photo "Back to the Sea" 

  I want to get back there very soon also.  As you said, maybe next year.  We've a standing invite to go back to Orvieto and help out on our friend Claudio's archaeological dig.  I can only hope that we get to take him up on it.

I'm managing...Did you swim in Manarola?  I loved it there!  You make me want to get back to Italy.  Maybe next year...

Rounding the bend into Manarola?  My very favorite swimming hole is there!
