These are the roof struts and tension cables that protrude through the roof fabric.  It sits on the bend in the river Thames in London.  You could see it from above if you look on google earth :)

It's an amazing building, originally designed as a temporary structure built for the millennium exhibition but O2 bought it and made it a concert arena with a mall of restaurants and a cinema!
