This was a shot taken in the very deep northwoods of Wisconsin. The lighting is a result of the filtering of the green canopy of the trees onto the ferns. The multi-shadowed layers tend to play tricks on your eye and keep the depth of field a little on the mysterious side. Glad you like it, Lisa!

this one caught my eye as soon as i approved it, bob! look at all those textures..kind of random, kind of ordered. but the light on them is pretty amazing. it enhances not only the texture but turns the green into all different hues. really great!
