Thanks, Bob!  They keep it very well maintained and below decks is definitely an exercise in suppressing any claustrophobic tendencies you might have.  I sure don't envy anybody who found themselves serving in the sub corps!  God Bless 'em all!

This is a submarine (USS Cobia) that was built in Manitowoc Wisconsin for use in WWII.  It now resides in Manitowoc and is a popular spot for tourists in the warmer months.  This photo gives a very "then" feeling.  I've toured the Cobia and serving on such a vessel was not any kind of easy duty.
